π½οΈ On Thursday, 27 November 2025, M5/3 students from TUP participated in an enriching off-campus workshop as part of their course English for Hotel and Tourism. The workshop was held at Dusit Thani College (International) in Prawet District, Bangkokβan institution widely recognized for its excellence in hospitality education.
From 09:00 to 15:00, the students engaged in a comprehensive Table Manner Workshop aimed at developing professionalism, confidence, and cultural awarenessβskills essential for the hotel and tourism industry.
β¨ This immersive learning experience provided our M5/3 students with invaluable knowledge and practical skills that will serve them well in their future careers in hospitality and tourism.
π΄ Proper Formal and Informal Dining Etiquette: Students learned the essential rules and conventions that govern both formal and casual dining situations, understanding when and how to apply appropriate behaviors.
π½οΈ International Table Arrangements: Understanding how to set and interpret international table arrangements, including the proper placement of utensils, glassware, and napkins for various dining occasions.
π¬ Professional Communication During Meals: Learning the art of engaging in professional conversations while dining, including appropriate topics, timing, and maintaining proper etiquette throughout the meal.
π Cultural Differences in Dining Behavior: Exploring how dining customs and expectations vary across different cultures, preparing students to serve and interact with international guests confidently.
β Standards of Hospitality in Luxury Environments: Understanding the high standards expected in luxury hotel and restaurant settings, and how attention to detail contributes to exceptional guest experiences.
The students also practiced their skills in a simulated fine-dining setup, gaining hands-on experience that strengthened their understanding of etiquette and its importance in guest relations and service quality.
This off-campus learning activity helped M5/3 students enhance their communication abilities, etiquette awareness, and overall readiness for real-world hospitality situations.
